Job description:

Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on, highly organized E-Bike Technician & Repair Coordinator to lead our service department. This is a hybrid role for someone who can confidently handle advanced repairs while keeping the entire service workflow running smoothly—from intake to final pickup.

If you enjoy solving complex mechanical and electrical problems and keeping operations dialed in, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Technical Service & Diagnostics

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical systems (brakes, bearings, etc)
  • Troubleshoot electrical components (motors, controllers, displays, batteries)
  • Perform advanced repairs (motor swaps, wiring, etc)
  • Conduct test rides and final safety inspections before customer pickup

Repair Coordination & Workflow

  • Manage service scheduling and prioritize repairs efficiently
  • Communicate clearly with customers—estimates, timelines, and updates
  • Maintain accurate service records for repairs and warranty claims

Inventory & Parts Management

  • Identify and order parts from vendors
  • Track shipments and manage backorders
  • Maintain organized inventory and vendor relationships

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of bicycle or electric vehicle repair experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Comfortable using a multimeter and basic diagnostic tools
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple repairs at once
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical issues to customers

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Certifications (Bosch, Shimano STEPS, Specialized, etc.)
  • Experience in a high-volume service environment
  • Service writing or customer-facing repair experience
  • Interest in e-bikes, sustainability, or micromobility

Why This Role Matters

You’re not just fixing bikes—you’re keeping customers on the road and ensuring the service department runs efficiently. Success in this role means repairs are done right the first time, parts are where they need to be, and customers trust us to keep them moving.

Who You Are

You take pride in clean work, organized systems, and satisfied customers. You’re just as comfortable with tools in your hands as you are tracking jobs and parts. You don’t leave things half-finished—whether it’s a repair or the paperwork that goes with it.
